Community Guidelines
1. You need to show up.
We want you to unleash your potential in this program in a way that you may not have experienced before. Commit to watching the videos, working through the exercises, attending sessions, and engaging with your peers.
2. Honor confidentiality.
As you become comfortable with each other, you will learn more about fellow members. There will be shared accomplishments, struggles, dreams, goals, frustrations, and personal history. All of that stays within the “walls” of your cohort. What people share in this program is not for outside consumption. It stays in this community. This guideline is designed to help you feel safe enough to experience real transformation, and we take it seriously.
3. Our programs are designed for peer group learning and transformation.
This course is focused on transformational learning in a peer group setting. It complements therapy, but does not replace it. If something comes up for you that is painful and better suited for a professional, please keep that in your therapy session where you will get the support you deserve and not in the community.
4. Absolutely no fundraising or business promotion in the community or courses.
We LOVE that you are accomplished, do great work in the world, and want to make an impact through your work. We are doing that right along with you. But this community is not the place to post about it to generate business, so please respect and hold one another accountable to this standard!
5. Absolutely no politics.
This one gets tricky because many topics that were once not political have become so, but the general rule is anything of or relating to an election, a candidate, or a specific cause (from any country) is to be avoided. If you are not sure about a post, write us at hello@potentialarena.com and we can clarify for you.
6. Only post content related to this course, your insights and questions, and personal breakthroughs.
Although inspirational memes and non-course related recommendations can be fun and engaging, it gets hard to filter through all of it. That's why we are asking you to avoid posts that are social in nature. We want to create a space where you can challenge yourself to see work with new eyes, form new habits, and transform the way you work in a team, so let's make sure our posts spur one another on in our growth.
7. Do not send unsolicited direct messages.
If you're not comfortable sharing something inside the general community as a general post, that's an indication that it's probably not appropriate for a direct message. That’s because we find people tend to vent or share things that could be received as overly personal. What we want you to do instead is gut check it. If you're not comfortable sharing something in the open group, you probably shouldn't be sharing it.
8. No harassment.
We reserve the right to remove absolutely anybody from the community for abuse or violation of policy guidelines without a refund.
We want you to feel safe and have an incredible experience in The Arena. We are here to support, elevate, and encourage one another. If you see anything that infringes on our community guidelines, feel free to write to us at hello@potentialarena.com or you can also “report” the post. You can also report a post – we look at all reported posts and take every report very seriously. Our Community Host will step in to contact the member privately or remove the offending post.
Let’s make The Arena an authentic, connected, and engaging space to be!
