Our Story
What I wish my 20-something self knew.
When I first began my career, I was surprised and disillusioned to experience work as a real source of doubt, frustration, judgment, and limitation. The work world didn't seem to be made for people who constantly want to do things differently, and eventually, I lost my confidence and twisted myself into a pretzel to be what I thought I had to be to succeed. What a tragedy!
As I advanced in my career, being a decision-maker helped renew my energy and creativity. Being responsible for people and outcomes also brought me face-to-face with mindsets, behaviors, and ways of relating to people that were seriously in the way for me and my team. In other words, I had some personal work to do.
Over the last two decades, I've worked inexpressibly hard on learning what it takes to thrive, even in the most difficult environments, and worked with hundreds of leaders on their journeys to do the same. What my 20-something self didn't know that I know for now is: work doesn't have to be such a struggle. By developing your knowledge, agency, and confidence and by learning to be a positive influence for others, you can unleash your potential and experience the immeasurably power of succeeding with a team (even a virtual one).
